Hawk Talk

Middle Mohawk Takes Watkins Glen

Yesterday, middle Mohawk went on our campout. Both M-2 and m-3 went to Watkins Glen. We walked through the rocky gorge and saw the breathtaking view of the waterfalls. Then the rain came, but we continued to hike. As soon as we got to the campsite, the ground was soaked. We hiked all the way back and continued on into a pavilion at the campsite. There the campers played on the playground, played football, and, of course, a euchre tournament. The campers did not let the rain get to them. Although what we were originally planning on doing was somewhat changed, everyone kept a smile on their face and had a positive attitude about the campout. Camp outs are great opportunities for campers to learn outdoor skills like hiking, pitching tents and more. It was one of the best camp outs I've been on in a long time.
