Boondoggle blogger!

I'm back and happy Thursday! A&C has seen a whirlwind of activity since  the campers arrived on Sunday. We've taught the stitch for and gone through an astounding amount of paracord for the bracelets that everyone here is obsessed with. It's been so cold lately that A&C has been the best place to sit, stay warm, and craft during periods. I've also had the opportunity to get my collaging fill with some bunks and used lots of mod podge!
Of course the most memorable project we've been doing up at the craft shack is the bunk wall hangings. Each camper and staff member get a white piece of fabric that they can decorate and make their own. All of these squares are then tied together with brightly colored string and made into a beautiful work of art that will adorn the walls of Senecan, Mohican, Onondagan, and Cayugan cabin walls for generations.
This wall hanging holds a special place in my heart. The one I made with my bunk during my second year of camp in 2006 is still hanging in the current O-1 cabin. It's so cool that it's still there 9 years later. I can't wait for campers to come back as staff years later and see the awesome memorabilia they created years ago.
I'll keep you updated, but for now, stay crafty!
