Good Evening CSL!
I think tonight was one of the most spectacular, enjoyable, rewarding nights I have had as a counselor. Myself and a few others spent days and nights in the programming office planning a "Car Wash Tutorial" as the evening program for all of Seneca, Mohawk, and Tusc.
After over 20 cars traveled down Infirmary Hill and parked strategically behind the fire circle, every single person participated in a 5 phase car wash. These phases consisted of a bucket brigade, shooting water out of noodles, climbing on top of cars, doing the "wax routine", and of course, a dance party to rinse, soap, wax, and dry the cars.
Seeing all of the campers legitimately washing their counselors cars and simultaneously having the time of their lives getting down in the mud is something I've never seen before.
As I walked back into my cabin after the conclusion of the program, my girls didn't even give me a split second to ask if they enjoyed their night. Immediately they ran up, hugged me, and screamed "Jojo your program was amazing! I will never forget it and it will be one I tell my campers when I am a counselor!" That right there was all of the reassurance I needed to know the program was a success and my oldest Senecan campers have started their summer off on the right foot!
I can't wait to see what other extraordinary things are brought to the table this summer!
