When you are a Cayugan, all you want is to be a Mohican, and Mohicans want to be in Tusc, just as Tuscarorans can't wait to be staff. But the words remain the same, "when you're older." Well now I'm 21, "and though my dreams have lost some grandeur", here I am back in Cayuga as a staff member.
I'm here not to duplicate my experience for these kids, as staff so often say, because camp is not a cookie cutter experience. I'm here to be a part of a new chapter of CSL. New memories and new dreams, and some day I know that these kids will get off the carousel and similarly find themselves back home again, at Camp Seneca lake.
