Hawk Talk

As I sit in this nearly empty Mohawk cabin I can almost feel the place hum with anticipation. Nothing but the water of Seneca Lake can be heard now as if the whole village is holding its breath. This place is incomplete without its men.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with what Mohawk is and stands for, the young men that arrive here will grow and mature in ways that years of school cannot provide. They will make the best friends they've ever had. They will leave their comfort zone behind on the camp bus. This is a village of brothers. When they leave at the end of the session, or the summer, they will know who they are.

I sit on my bed and can't help but feel everything is how we left it. After a winter of dormancy, the animal that is Mohawk is stirring. Mohawk is ready... Are you?
