Carrie Evans returns to CSL in 2014

Dear CSL Community:

It is with pleasure that I announce the return of Carrie Evans for the summer of 2014 as our Camp Manager! This will be Carrie’s 11th summer in this role, but to say her job as been the same every summer would be a fairy tale.  As Carrie has grown, so too has her job.  In her role as Camp Manager, she’s relied on to provide support in a number of ways at Camp and has taken on many new responsibilities in the programming department over the years.

Carrie is a native of Rochester and grew up in Webster before graduating from SUNY Brockport with a degree in History and Secondary Education.  She taught alongside John Golden for many years, and in 2004 (her first summer) John convinced her to come to CSL.  When not at Camp Carrie is part of the faculty in the Irondequoit School District.

You’d think after all these summers at Camp, Carrie would look for a different opportunity.  However, her passion for CSL is clear.

"Camp is a place where you can leave the real world behind and be your true self.  Regardless of age or position, a fresh start awaits everyone who embarks down that dirt road.  Live in the moment, exceed your own expectations and make the summer what YOU want it to be"

CSL is going to be a better place because of Carrie in 2014.

All the Best,
Aaron Cantor, Director
