What a day, what a day! It was actually my bunks (S-2) first full day of periods and an evening program, separate from Shabbat. They had super sail in the morning with me down at the waterfront which always makes my day. I don't normally get to spend periods with them, so being able to hang out with them on the water just makes for an automatic awesome time! The wind was also perfect, so we were actually able to sail across the lake and back twice in just those two hours. The afternoon was hobbies so the campers spent those periods with their respective groups.
Last night was a PUP (program unit program) with Mohawk, Seneca, and Tusc which was titled 'Never Been Scene.' The campers were split into groups, and were told to dress up as their favorite movie star/character for dinner. After dinner, they all learned the famous 'cup song' from the movie Pitch Perfect and played it together as a group.
From there, they each split into their individual groups and created a deleted scene from a list of movies compiled during dinner through name that tune/quote. All of the scenes were very funny and entertaining, but a group that created a deleted scene from Legally Blonde ended up winning. The campers then watched a personal favorite movie, Space Jam, in the O-Rec! They all seemed to be having a lot of fun and really enjoyed the movie. I would say it was a great day!
