Stories With Seneca

Today was Shabbat, so we started out the day sleeping in (which made us all REALLY happy) and then went to services at the new morning service spot. A lot of the July campers saw and helped build the Tikkun Olam Shabbat spot, but for the August campers, seeing the spot for the first time was a truly magical experience. Although that may sound cheesy, having services at a new spot really made us realize the most beautiful parts of camp that we probably would not have noticed before.

After services we all got to reflect on how we felt about Shabbat at camp and we all set goals for ourselves for the session. A pretty normal day went on after that, besides the fact that all the counselors and unit heads had a Gladiator fight. We each got assigned a number and sat in groups playing bingo in order to pick our gladiators. We dressed them up and got them ready to "battle." Overall today was super fun, and I think everyone had a really good time bonding over Shabbat and on a totally different subject- Gladiator fights.
