Stories With Seneca

Yesterday was the best Seneca Day ever! The day started off with all the counselors gathered in the middle of the village screaming, "Good Morning Seneca, it's Seneca Day!" Immediately you could hear the screams of excitement coming from all the cabins in Seneca!

We were told to put on yoga attire and get a towel. When we got outside, we split into three groups for three different stations, 2 of which were yoga-related and the other was breakfast.

After the relaxing morning of yoga and parfaits, we boarded the buses. We then arrived at the New York Wine and Culinary Center. We sat at tables and were greeted by our chef, Jeffrey. He informed us that we had a pasta, salad, and bread buffet waiting for us in the next room. The pasta that I had yesterday was the best pasta I have ever had!!

Then we got a tour of the center and got to try some grapes that we took right off the grape vine! They were so sweet and not like the kind that you just pick up from a grocery store.

Then we boarded the buses again and we arrived at downtown Canandaigua, where we did a little shopping. Next we went bowling and had tons of fun despite the fact that we didn't have the bumpers, which most of us really needed -- the ball was in the gutters more times than not.

After that, we were told we were going to a concert and everyone was wondering who we could be seeing! When we arrived at the location, we were greeted with 9 boxes of sheet pizza from Mark's.  We then entered the building only to be surprised that the crowd was on average over the age of 60. We passed around our extra cookies to the people there, and just hung out for a little while.

We then boarded the buses for a final time and headed back to camp and were told to get into warm clothes. We all sat outside and watched the funny movie "Camp Nowhere." And that was the conclusion of the best Seneca Day ever!
