Stories With Seneca

Yesterday was one of those days I started to see the light shine in S-6. This morning at low ropes, the girls worked on challenges that forced them to work together and develop leadership and teamwork. It wasn't always easy but they seemed to get something out of it. In the afternoon, the girls worked on a beautiful piece in A&C that involved cork boards, nails and embroidery. After that they killed it in athletics in both gaga and dodgeball.

These girls have such a variety of talents and every period I'm continually impressed. For the evening program we celebrated Dana (a counselor's) "bat mitzvah." After a quick service, we played bat mitzvah games and had a fantastic dance party. The girls really seemed to have fun just doing something so silly.

That's the best part of this age group -- how much fun they have once they forget about the real world. We are now on our camp out, and I cannot wait to see what adventures this will bring.
