What we do in the village of Seneca is something that I can't sum up in one or two words. We learn about each other through late night talks, reflective campfires, playing countless rounds of hot seat or making a bracelet for a new friend. Village dance parties and using the hose as an extra place to shower provides us with ways to express ourselves inside our newly discovered comfort zones.
In Seneca, we take pride in knowing that there is so much more to a person than just what is on the outside -- we have clay artists, broadway stars, comedians, actresses, hair dressers, fashionistas, and most importantly we have people we can trust and share our deepest secrets with.
This village of 70 girls is the strongest I have ever seen it - every age group interacting with the other as if they are just one big bunk only separated by the tens of feet in between the cabins.
Thank you for sharing your daughters with us this summer. Whether they were here for 3 weeks, 4 weeks, or all 7 weeks as a camper, they each hold a special place in my heart as a unit head...and I know they impacted their staff as well.
I hope you hear tons of stories, feel their passion for camp, and know that we can't wait to see them all again next summer.
With love,
Rachel Kosoff, Seneca UH
