As the final Shabbat of the summer is upon us, I have taken the time with the Senecan campers to reflect on our time together this session.
Along with Ally, I took the oldest Senecans star-gazing the other night and we talked about their experiences this summer and how they have grown closer as a group and developed a level of comfortability with one another that is new to them. Yesterday, I spent a time -with period with S4, and we talked about life and how things can change yet remain the same in our hearts.
These ladies are so reflective and introspective. Camp is a great place to explore that untapped side of oneself; the side that lets people in, even through the walls that we build up around our hearts during the school year.
I feel so lucky to be a part of a place that prides itself on exploration and connections with others. And as always, thank you for sharing you children with us - we love them unconditionally, and are excited to see what the last 5 days of the summer brings.
Sincerely,
Rachel Kosoff, Seneca UH
