Today was our first Shabbat! We had a tasty breakfast of bagels in the village to start off the day. After a relaxing sleep in, we made our way to the new site for Saturday morning services. The area was alive with a whole crew of new, smiling faces. A lovely lunch of cold cuts was enjoyed by all! Extended rest hour helped us get into the Shabbat spirit even more. To dinner, something very special occurred. We all fashioned ourselves in togas for the first annual CSL gladiator games! Each camper was a part of an army with a gladiator to represent them. As a group, the campers worked together to engineer the most high tech cardboard and duct tape armor as protection for the battle. The intensity of the gladiator games was palpable. Thankfully each group received a fantastic prize ranging from cookie decorating to pranking! I have no hesitation saying this has been the best Saturday yet!
