Ononbloga

Today in Onondaga we had one of the best first days I've ever experienced in my 7 years as a staff member. The girls were so excited to be here and to learn who is in their bunks and who their counselors are. We had a smooth unpacking process, and beautiful weather all afternoon for our camper orientation. This evening was a village night, and Onondaga had a great time. First we had the girls blindfold themselves and trust walk from the dining hall to the O-rec, with the counselors facilitating the process. Then we had the girls blind taste test different drinks and foods. At the end, we concluded with an exciting dance party! After village night all of camp met at the waterfront for opening ceremonies, where each village and specialty area introduced themselves in a funny skit. The girls really enjoyed the whole afternoon and evening, and so did the staff! Today was a wonderful sign of how great this session will be.
