Seneca hosted CSL's first Shabbat which let us display the depth and talent of our campers and staff. The campers demonstrated the meaning of appearance and how to NOT let first impressions dominate our minds. Our girls reminded us to get to know each other, "really know each other," before formulating judgements. We were taught not only to accept and appreciate others but to accept ourselves as we are and to be proud of the strong women we are becoming. Camp is such an amazing place for campers and staff to learn confidence and practice important qualities that they will carry into their secular lives, such as finding and appreciating the best in others. Thanks to a great public speaking session with Ari Baum our Senecan speakers gave valuable speaches which only elevated us this Shabbat!
Shabbat shalom,
