Stories With Seneca

Hello everyone!

I was a very proud counselor last night. As many of you may know, Seneca blossomed last night while performing fight song and it really paid off. During our victory dance party, my fellow staff members and I had more good news for the Seneca ladies. We revealed to the campers that it was Seneca day! Today, day after a lovely sleep-in until 9:00, the girls all enjoyed a relaxing breakfast in the village consisting of nutritious parfaits, oatmeal, and fruit. We then loaded onto two buses and headed to our first location, a blueberry farm. There, we picked the ripest blueberries and feasted as we went. They were delicious!

Our next stop was to a "grapery" where Seneca got super classy. We tasted a variety of homemade juices and cheeses that were delectable. After this awesome experience, we ate lunch and splurged at the gift shop where everyone of course bought more delicious food. Our next stop was in Canadaigua... Roseland Water Park! I know that this was the best part for most of the girls. The water slides were refreshing and exhilarating, perfect for a hot summer day.

After a few hours of fun in the sun, we then went to Main Street in Canandaguia where the girls were allowed to shop, although a lot of the stores were closed so it was mostly window shopping! The girls still had so much fun though, especially at the local Byrne Dairy where most of them got milkshakes, sundaes, or soft serve ice cream.

After a long day filled with excitement, the girls ended the day back in their cabins with relaxing chocolate edible face masks. This was the cherry on top to an amazing day; Seneca day was truly a success!
