Programming: Painting a Picture

Cayuga proved they could deliver a second time.  Onondaga showed their ruach. Mohawk displayed great creativity and uniformity.  Tusc’s harmonies and mash-ups awed the crowd.  Yet, once again, Seneca dominated Fight Song and welcomed the trophy to their village. This year a new standard was set; the quality of each Fight Song reached new heights.

The Tikkun Olam site will be completed on Wednesday after oldest Seneca, oldest Mohawk, and Tusc partake in a culminating day of bench manufacturing, trailblazing, fence construction, and bimah building.  All of the bunks have been working extremely hard on the different projects contributing to the site.  As this is one of the largest projects camp has completed during a session, we cannot wait to take full advantage of the new community space and enjoy the atmosphere we have all contributed to.

All of the campers participated in Mystery Moses this past Saturday night.  A spin on “Secret Santa”, the programming staff assigned each camper with their own “Mystery Moses” whom they had to secretly get to know, make a present for them, and reveal themselves as they gave their Mystery Moses the gift.  The campers took this as an opportunity to introduce themselves to other campers who they may not otherwise interact with.  It was heart-warming to see campers create such thoughtful presents for each other, such as bracelets with favorite colors, duck tape wallets, and picture frames.

As the final week of the July session is now underway, we cannot wait for all of the exciting events that will take place!  We look forward to hobby culmination, Tikkun Olam culmination, and final banquet!
