No more than ten minutes ago the staff concluded orientation with one final meeting. The meeting began with a heartfelt recapturing of CSL's colorful past, and it's bright future. At the conclusion of the slideshow we viewed a cinematic masterpiece created by CSL's own, Sam Piggot. Following the film came four standing ovations. The staff erupted into cheers which resonated throughout all of camp. Through all of the mayhem, I stopped for a moment to filter through the faces of the 2013 staff. After fourteen years at camp, I have never seen a staff so energized.
To all of you CSL campers: The staff have been here for over a week preparing tirelessly for the upcoming summer. We have endured countless meetings and epic battles on the newly lit basketball courts. I'm not certain what tomorrow will bring, but I do know one thing. We are ready... So get your helmets on.
