This summer we will run our second annual Pen Pal Program where former Sr. Campers and Sr. Camper staff write letters via Snail Mail to an assigned 2013 Sr. Camper. The campers write to you first in July and we ask that you respond as soon as you can. We encourage the kids to tell you a bit about them selves and about what their Sr. Camper experience is like. And you can respond, telling them about your Tusc experiences and about what camp meant/means to you.
While we will take any volunteers, this year we are especially looking for former campers who are now between 25 and 45 years old. Last year most of the Pen Pals were 45-50 and while we're looking for some new volunteers, any 2012 Pen Pals are welcome to participate again. Those who participated last year really got a lot out of it but not as much as the kids did. They couldn't believe that so many things out in Tusc really hadn't changed over the years.
This year we are planning a program on Saturday, August 17th when all the Pen Pals are invited to come to CSL, meet their Pen Pal camper and participate in a special program. While more information will follow about this, we are excited to start another element with this August program.
