CSL,
This will be my 6th year, here at CSL and I am happy to say I am participating in CSL in Israel! Yes, it is sad to say Tuscarora 2012 will not be physically at camp for the majority of the summer, but we will be at camp in our hearts.
When I first found out that we would only be staying at camp for a few days, I was heartbroken. I had not been able to attend camp every year, but the many summers I came too camp, my life changed. Of course after Tuscarora, it is tough not to be senior campers, and especially tough to be going on a new experience to a place many of us had not visited.
At first, most of Tuscarora 2012 only wanted to go to camp or be able to be at camp for half the summer, but when we heard it was our only option, we used skills we learned in Tusc. We realized that we don’t have to be at camp to be together and have the times of our lives, but instead we focused on getting us all reunited as Team Tusc!
There are 35 campers attending CSL in Israel and I am so excited for the many amazing experiences ahead. We will experience many cultural activities and learn about Israel that I wouldn’t discover on my own. The 35 Tuscarora 2012 campers going to Israel are very excited for a summer of difference, and we will look forward to returning to camp for a few days!
Now we get to use all the skills we learned last summer, and we will make this summer our own.
