Queen Elyssa Saphrina Succeeds King Golden's Throne

Dear Blog Spectators:

I flat out have not blogged enough this session, for which I apologize.  That said, when I think back on the last 18 days, I can't think of very many times when we have just been lounging around.  Indeed, it has been a very busy session at CSL, easily the most action-packed of any of the 40 for which I have been fortunate to be here.

Last night we concluded the Medieval Times Mass Program that saw Princess Elyssa Saphrina (Tusc Counselor Elyssa Sham) anointed the successor to King Golden's throne of the CSL Kingdom.  The day and a half competition gave the campers and staff many opportunities to test their mettle in a variety of thematic settings including sword fights, minstrel singing, jousting, candle making, castle architecture, and so much more.  The culminating hours of the event featured The Royal Banquet, The Ultimate Immolation, and Sword in the Stone.

Now CSL's focus turns to the Second Annual Fight Song which takes place Sunday night.  We are four weeks in the making of each song with rehearsals happening almost every day.

Meanwhile, Hobbies continue on at a torrid pace…just three more sessions until Culmination Day next Thursday.

Lots more to come in the next ten days!  Keep following us.
