Today was the day we were all waiting for, all planning for, all anticipating: Fight Song Night. To give you some background, I'm Gaby Cordaro and this is my ninth summer at camp. My first year was in 2004 O-4. I was an August camper until my middle year of Seneca in 2007. I continued to Tuscarora 2009, went through the LIT program and have been an Onondaga counselor for two years now. When I was a camper in July, many moons ago in the years 2007-2009, we did not have this program. We would have two mini-MPs that would somehow be on wet, miserable, rainy days- but not this year. Fight Song is a program taken far more serious than it was its first year. Weeks before campers drove down Camp Road, O-Staff was busily writing down, singing, and counting beats for our debut. Hours of work were put into this night and I personally was extremely proud. I was positive we were going to win. Though the night came to the end with Cayuga victorious, I was very impressed with our girls. We all need a lot of sleep! Good night!
