Hello,
Yesterday was a very important day for Mohawk. Fight song was last night and preparation was our first priority. All day we sat in the village and practice fight song until it was perfect. When thinking about what else we could add to our act, we decided that we should all get Mohawks. The campers had the option to get a Mohawk if 1 they received permission from their parents and 2 wanted a mohawk. We now have about 20 campers and almost all of the staff sporting a Mohawk for our village.
When we arrived at fight song, It was clear that we were there to win. Amped up and ready to go, we put the finishing touches on our costumes and took some time to reflect on our main goal...winning. After a short introduction of Mohawk we took the stage and blew it out of the water. We were loud and proud and it was evident that we made the other teams nervous. In the end cayuga won with great costumes, good dancing, and entertaining lyrics, but Mohawk put up a good fight and will be back next year for the win.
