Hi, I'm Mike Pascutoi, a Cayuga activity counselor working in High/Low Ropes for the second year in a row. I am going to be the blogger for this activity, and am looking forward to communicating to any future campers, parents of current or past campers, alumni, or anyone generally interested in Camp Seneca Lake.
We began the session today with the Youngest Onondaga girls of O1 and O2. Since it is still early in the session and a majority of the girls were new to camp, we focused on name games and fun activities meant to get them to work together. Clear communication was a theme of many of the activities for the O1 girls, while the O2 focused more on growing closer as a bunk.
In the afternoon we had Mohican boys from bunks M1, M2, and M3. Since they knew each other better, we proceeded to move into trust games emphasizing teamwork and those involving blindfolds. The energy of the Mohicans made the session quite exciting, with each group successfully completing all of their activities.
Next up is Seneca tomorrow; let's hope it was as successful as it was today.
Ropes Staff signing off.
