Dear families,
Mohawk is in full bloom. With leaves gone and cabins swept, the village is physically in great shape. Better yet, the staff has been working tirelessly to prepare for the long awaited arrival of the campers. Yesterday, Michelle Leve (Parent of Tusc '09, and Tusc '12), a social worker for the JCC in Rochester, came to speak with the staff about a variety of camper related themes. Her son, Alec, sat by her side as she met with Mohawk and Seneca after lunch. It was a very special moment.
It is hard to believe that this time last year, day two of CSL 2011 was just beginning. I believe that the saying "the juice is worth the squeeze" speaks to the fact that waiting a few days for the campers to arrive only increases the excitement of the CSL staff. 72 hours are all that separate the staff from the campers.
Mohawk will be taking their talents to Geneva tonight for a staff dinner at Parkers restaurant. All 19 of us will be squeezing in tight for some good food, and more importantly, good times.
