Court Coverage

CSL Families and Friends,

My name is Kevin Snyder, and this summer I will be spending my first year ever at CSL working in athletics as the tennis specialist. I'm excited to say that we have some great stuff lined up for the campers when they come to the tennis courts!

First, for our younger campers, we have gotten some equipment for 10 and under tennis. This equipment will be used to teach our young campers the game on their level. We have tennis balls that will bounce lower and slower for the campers so they will be able to hit the ball successfully. We also have two nets to split a normal tennis court into a smaller one so that the kids can play on a court that is their size as well. All of these tools will allow the campers to learn tennis faster and with more success!

For our older campers and more experienced players, we also have gotten new equipment. First, we have purchased a ball cart that holds over 300 tennis balls! This cart will give the campers a chance to hit a lot more balls because we won't have to stop and pick up balls all the time. There is nothing more boring than picking up tennis balls and now the campers will not have to do it that often at all. Finally, we also have obtained a Lobster ball machine. Thanks to a generous donation by one of our families, the Lobster will be a fixture at the courts and will give the campers a chance to specialize in working on one specific shot over and over again.

I hope you are as excited as I am to get the summer going – keep checking in for updates from the tennis hobby group, as well as other CSL tennis news!
