Greetings CSL Parents, Friends, and Alums,
My name is Rebecca Brindza and this is my 10th summer here at CSL. I am currently the bunk counselor of S-6, one of the two bunks of oldest Senecans. Like my campers who are graduating middle school, I have just graduated high school in my hometown of Yorktown, Virginia. In the fall, I will be attending Hebrew University in Jerusalem as a freshman.
This session has held new and exciting experiences for the girls of S-6. Today, we ventured out of our comfort zone at CSL's very own Ropes Course. Our bunk was challenged to divide into pairs and conquer the Vertical Playpen, an obstacle course consisting of three levels of increasing difficulty that can only be overcome by the use of teamwork. Through the sporadic rain fall, tears of frustration, and smiles of accomplishment, 13 of our 14 girls (the 14th has a twisted knee cap) climbed the Playpen! So for those of you parents with S-6 ladies be sure to give them a thumbs up for their hard work in your next letter! Have a wonderful summer and stay dry (it has been quite rainy here)!
Best, Rebecca
