As Hobbies began today, more than 50 campers arrived at the Waterfront to participate in Wakeboarding, Waterskiing, Sailing, and Fishing. Though these are all independent groups, everyone gladly helps out when someone is in need.
When all of the campers in Sailing were divided among the many boats and started to head out, one boat began to veer off course. The rudder on one of the Hunters (a bigger boat) broke off, sending the sailors drifting toward shore. Although the Sailing staff was occupied with other boats that needed assistance, the Hunter was quickly recovered by the Fishing and Waterskiing staff. The act demonstrates the consistent sense of community to help anyone that requires it at CSL.
Despite the mishap, the campers appreciated the adventure and wavy ride toward shore; they cooled off, waded, and splashed each other in the water until the help came, truly enjoying the bright, angelic day.
