After a month of drought-like conditions, the Camp Seneca Lake community has developed an unfortunate case of pluviophobia. That is, fear of rain.
The sun illuminated camp beginning the waking hours, through lunch, and into third period, but as the day continued a small dark cloud traveled overhead. By about halfway through third period it began to drizzle, causing the Cayugans to unnecessarily abandon their games of Cayuga Hockey League and seek rescue under the ping-pong pavilion.
An understanding that rain is simply water (the same we drink and bathe in) falling from the sky must be attained by both staff and campers at CSL. If we do not soon garner this knowledge, we will surely face an epidemic.
