I can hardly believe that we have almost been here for a week! We've been super busy in Onondaga. We started our newcomb league and so far the Schnozberries are undefeated but the Pinkberries aren't far behind. This season is shaping up to be very competitive with several girls already in contention for MVP.
This week I've gotten to spend some time with each bunk separately. O-3 planned a wonderful prank on the C-4 cabin involving buckets full of water balloons and lots of rolls of toilet paper. Despite some set-backs, the prank was a success! During my time with O-4, we wrote letters to our future selves that I will pass on for the girls to read next year as youngest Senecans. We then played "hot seat" and had some serious bunk bonding. Today I had time with O-2 and O-5 and we all did each others nails and got ready for Shabbat. It was great to spend time with both bunks and to see the oldest and youngest girls getting to know each other.
This session has been wonderful so far and my only complaint is how quickly time is passing. I feel privileged to watch the girls in Onondaga form new friendships and make memories that will last for the rest of their lives!
