My name is Andrew Dunaif and I am in oldest mohawk this session. The summer has been an unreal experience. I am one of 6 campers in my cabin to be going all summer this summer.
So far, everything is mohawk is going great. We just recently had our dance marathon. This consisted of 10 hours of straight dancing with the ladies of seneca. I danced my pants off, to say the least.
The next morning, the village had a sleep in to recuperate from the dancing. Mohawk wasn't done yet. We had breakfast at the waterfront which was prepared by chef Jesse Manning, and special guest Harold Baubry. After breakfast we stayed at the waterfront for the morning and had normal shifts. My bunk had ski and kayaking and we had a ball.
During the afternoon we had two MAL games. In a hard fought battle, the Boathouse Brewers beat the Athletic Athletics 7-4 dealing the Athletics their first loss of the season. The other game ended in a 6-6 tie, and was highlighted by a monster homerun from my fellow oldest mohican, Parker Finestone.
With just the first week behind us in the August session, a lot of time is left. I know I can speak for the rest of mohawk when I say that we are looking forward to every moment.
