Hey there friends and family,
This week, Mohawk teamed up with Onondaga to host and prepare Shabbat. After a wonderful dinner and service, the boys were able to relax with a great dance party with the Tuscarorans and Senecans. Theywere having such an incredible time that we decided to bring them to the docks to go stargazing with the youngest senecans. The boys were very excited and had a blast. I heard more laughter and shouting last night than I have all session.
The boys are really loving being at camp right now! I feels really great to be a part of such a special group of kids. Their shabbat speeches and general willingness to show respect and a maturity beyond their years amazes me.
We plan to round out shabbat with another surprise stargazing session tonight, and hope to keep the energy high heading into the final full week of camp.
