LIT’s!!! Our village of Oneida is soooooo ready for you to get here tomorrow! The staff are anxious to welcome you home after being away for the last 10 months. Jamie, Mike and I can’t wait to see your smiling faces when you get off those buses! We have been working like crazy for the past 5 days of staff orientation to make sure that YOU will have an incredible summer! Oneida is holding strong in its second year, and the village has never looked better. We are even getting some brand new outdoor furniture that will be delivered in the next 48-72 hours for us to enjoy!
The dining hall has never been fuller than it will be tomorrow afternoon. We will sit together as a village for lunch at 2 tables next to each other, and I wish I could tell you what is on the menu, but you know how the kitchen works J After lunch tomorrow we will head back to our village to move into living spaces and the first thing you’ll need to do is unpack a bathing suit and a towel so we can blast through our swim tests.
The staff and I are ready to share our knowledge with you to help you develop into the awesome leaders that we already know you are going to be. This summer will be all about what you make of it, so come ready for fun and learning and the ability to grow as a group. It doesn’t just happen—so coming prepared with an open mind and an open heart will drastically increase your potential to develop new passions for camp in new and exciting ways that you never even thought possible.
Your bags are packed, and you’re ready to go….the village is now waiting for you to move in, make your bed, unpack your stuff and get the summer underway. Let’s do this!!!! Oneida 2011 <3
