Stories With Seneca

Good Evening CSL!

This afternoon was one of the most enjoyable, entertaining afternoons I have had a counselor. Me and my co hobby leader set up an obstacle course for the fantastic 12 campers in Camp Extreme Training to complete.

All 12 of them raced down to the waterfront and broke up into their strategically placed teams behind the fire circle. Every single person went through each phase of the course. These phases consisted of a three way sprint, jump roping, lunging to a net, army crawling while being sprayed with shaving cream, getting dizzy and jumping over a noodle, and of course a wheel barrel race.

Seeing all of the campers legitimately doing this to the best of their ability, running with a huge smile on their face and cheering on their team is something that I find so rewarding.

As I walked back to my cabin after the conclusion of the afternoon, I was told by the Onondagans in the hobby that they had a blast. That right there was all of the reassurance I needed to know that my hobby is running successfully and everyone is enjoying themselves.

I can't wait to see what other extraordinary things are brought to the table during the rest of the hobby sessions.
