Hi! My name is Rachel Cohen and I'm an O-1 counselor! The youngest girls are settling in extremely well, it seems as though they are much older than 8 years old! Today was Shabbat, so we had a very restful day. We had a nice sleep-in, and were awoken to a spread of bagels and cereal. After that, we went to services. This week services were led by Onondaga and Seneca. The girls wrote beautiful speeches, sang songs, and decorated the dining hall all with the quote "every beginning is another beginnings end". It was amazing watching some of the girls come out of their shells and lead the entire camp in the most holy time of the week. After services we had lunch, rest hour, and discussion group, and ended the day with Shabbat choice and a village cookout. I want to thank everyone in Onondaga for an awesome first week! I can't wait for the next two!
