Stories With Seneca

As the session comes to a close, we are forced to reflect and appreciate all of the memories which have been made throughout the past three and a half weeks. From bunk nights to rest hour, there is never a dull moment in the village of Seneca. The girls grew closer to each other as the session went on, and this was extremely evident throughout the final days.

The oldest girls had spent several weeks planning a surprise campfire for the younger girls and their hard work truly paid off last night. It was a night filled with speeches and songs -- a night they will never forget. The oldest Senecans left their mark on the camp and the staff could not have been prouder. Seeing the oldest, middle, and youngest girls simply hanging out and playing cards or talking on their final night at camp just proves how the theme of interconnectedness from the beginning of the session has continued throughout the session and how it has brought the girls together because they wanted to be, not because they had to be.

I could not be prouder to be a counselor in the village of Seneca this summer, and I look forward to Sunday when I get to do it all over again!
