Rock climbing hobby group took its excellence to a whole new level on Thursday with night climbing, and an overnight! After dinner, the kids came to ropes and the fun began. We played "one fish, two fish, chicken" a favorite low ropes game by campers and staff alike. The game teaches kids how to strategize as a team, communicate as a group, and most importantly, how to hide a rubber chicken from a staff member. After that we moved into jedi knight battles. This game teaches the kids how to communicate with someone who is blindfolded to get them to pick up a pool noodle and hit their opponent who is trying to do the same thing first. This was followed by some night climbing on the rock wall using glow sticks and flood lights. The evening festivities concluded with kids making smores and banana boats on the camp fire.
Friday morning, in our final non culmination hobby session, we set up the slack line, hung out and the kids decided to write a rock climbing hobby group parody to the song "Wiggle." It was a relaxed hobby session following the crazy, action packed night Thursday night.
