Sarah Kaufman Heads up Seneca in 2014

Dear CSL Community:

It is with great pleasure that I announce the hiring of Sarah Kaufman as the CSL 2014 Seneca Unit Head! CSL has been in Sarah’s life every summer since 2002 when she attend Camp for the first time as an O-1 Camper.  Sarah has spent several years on staff, most notably as Seneca AUH in both 2011 and 2012.  This past summer she worked in the Programming Department as the Assistant Program Director.  Sarah has always been a camper first staff member and we are excited for the girls of Seneca to have her as their leader.

Sarah is currently attending Cornell University pursuing a major in Human Development and a minor in Education.  Sarah has considerable experience working with children outside of Camp, as she has spent time with local elementary and high schools since starting at Cornell.  This spring, Sarah will continue her desire to work with children during a semester abroad in Florence, Italy.

"The time I spent as a camper in Seneca had such a large influence on my personal development.  Just as I had experienced in 2005-2007, I hope to instill the same sense of empowerment, independence, friendship, and confidence in each of the current Senecans.  This village holds a special place in my heart and I can't wait to return! Only eight months to go!"

CSL and Seneca are extremely lucky to have Sarah as their leader in 2014.

All the Best,
Aaron Cantor, Director
