One blue firework lights up the night sky. An explosion of cheers and applause are heard as the firework quickly fizzles out. Blue team has won Color War 7. Nothing compares to the rush of emotion experienced when your team comes out on top. The literal blood, sweat, and tears poured into this program by each individual resulting in being cemented in camp seneca lake history. But, my entirely red outfit tells a different story. My fellow teammates and I sit across the fire circle silently watching the blue team enjoy their victory. Seven games of speedball, countless hours of showdown preparation, sprints up and down camp road; all resulting in defeat. However, instead of hanging my head in defeat, I can't feel anything but proudness. I spent the last two days watching my fellow teammates excel in every facet from singing to playing water polo. I watched campers accomplish feats that I could have never imagined would be possible for them. I know that whenever I walk past the newly created color war monuments in the m-field I won't remember the defeat but rather all the accomplishments.
