"Cayugan Paying It Forward"
Wednesday was Cayuga Day and we had many fun activities planned. One of the places we stopped at was a roller skating facility. While we were there, we played different types of games as well as free skated. One game we played was "Red Light, Green Light." There happened to be other people at the facility at the same time as us, but one of our Cayugan's came out victorious in this game of "Red Light, Green Light." After winning, Seamus Devlin, a youngest Cayugan, received a pass for a free skating session. He was very excited, but what happened next was very special.
Seamus, without being asked, quickly walked over to a random kid not associated with CSL and offered him the free pass he won. Seamus said, "I won't be back here anytime soon, so you can have this" with a huge smile on his face. The other kid gladly accepted the free pass and ran for joy to his mother.
It is small acts of kindness like this that make a huge difference. Watching Seamus do this from afar was inspiring and breath taking. Seeing a young boy do something so simple was truly special. Hopefully this story will inspire you to pay it forward somehow...
Sincerely,
