My name is Isaac Messina and I am a C-4 counselor this session. This is my fourth year in Cayuga as an activity counselor and I share my time between the bunk and the craft shack (arts and crafts). Today was another beautiful Shabbat here on Seneca lake! It was a very hot day, but a day full relaxation and hydration. The morning began with a breakfast in the village of bagels and cereal, followed by a trip down to the fire circle for morning services. The campers were given a choice of activities in the afternoon, ranging from arts and crafts to athletics and drama games. The pool was a popular choice today due to the weather. For the evening activity, the younger villages had bunk night. Fitting for the season, my C-4 bunk had its own Olympics tonight. There were events such as long jump, discus, cannon ball competition, free throw competition, ending with my personal favorite- the C-4 spelling bee! I am proud to say each camper walked away from the night with at least two medals! They all performed amazingly and displayed great spirit and sportsmanship.
