My name is Ariel and I will be your blogger for Culinary Arts and Science hobby group this session. I am very excited about this sessions hobby periods. We will be featuring various countries and teaching the kids new techniques and ways to prepare foods and all creations this session will be vegetarian. We hope to have the campers leave Culinary Arts and Science hobby group with some good basic cooking skills and fun recipes to bring home to their parents!
Today we started off in Japan by making Sushi and Seaweed/Cucumber salads. The rice came out perfect enabling us to make some excellent avocado, cucumber and carrot sushi. The campers seemed to very much enjoy all of the dishes we made this morning and left very full and excited about the new things they learned! I am greatly looking forward to next session when we incorporate stove skills with Indian cuisine.
