Hi everyone!
My name is Sydney Ryan and I am an O-5 counselor. I have the pleasure of being one of the wake boarding hobby group staff members as well. I am currently writing this from the middle of sunny seneca lake as the kids prepare to begin for the day. Everyone has the opportunity to either wake board or try something new called wake skating. Wake skating is very similar to wake boarding but without the foot bindings.
Our first camper of the day was Amelia Weinberg. She decided to be brave and try something she had never done- wake skating. After that challenge she said "That was really hard. Wake boarding is much easier." With the blink of an eye she had a wake board on and was back in the water tearing up the waves.
Sydney Cohen was next up in the water. She decided to take the wake skate challenge as well. Sydney mastered the waves extremely well. When she came back on the boat she had the same huge smile she had on in the water and said "it was so fun". She had a section full of friends and even her brother who cheered on her success.
Elise goldstein, Erica Roos and Jordan Sasson also decided to try wake skating. It was great to see them trying new things and really working hard. Everyone had a great time on the party boat whether watching there friends or going themselves. We can't wait to see what these next couple weeks bring. I am sure it will be nothing but success down at the waterfront for these guys.
