The Senecan Scribe

Oldest Mohawk and Seneca ventured down to the Adorondacks for a thrilling 3 day campout. Upon dropping the boys off at their first campsite we continued on in pursuit to ours and finally arrived after a grueling 5 hour drive. As we arrived the girls mouths dropped with astonishment and the magnificently gorgeous campsite. We were completely immersed in the nature with a waterfall and stream running adjacent to our secluded campsites. The next day we woke up refreshed and ready to tackle the Snowy Mountain Peak. The hike was steap and demanding but we all made it to the top with few scratches then ate lunch on a scenic overlook and then began our descent. The girls kissed the road when we finally reached the bottom. We began our day early at 6:30, packed up camp and then reached our next obstacle- rockclimbing. Overall, the trip left us feeling exasperated but more accomplished than ever and ready to return home to camp.

Sincerely,
Leah Feldman (S-4 counselor)
