The Senecan Scribe

I can't believe the first full day of camp is already over-and what a day it has been!

While today was our first 'normal' camp day, we decided to prove to our girls that no day is truly normal. Breakfast, instead of being at the usual dining hall was instead served at the fire circle, right next to the water. The sky was perfectly clear and the lake was just gorgeous. We stayed at the waterfront the whole morning, my own bunk getting a rather relaxing one consisting of both super sailing and a rise on the party boat.

After a personal lunch favorite (yeah grilled cheese!) the girls put last night's work to good use and were by far the loudest and most understood village in the dining hall. Yeahhh Seneca!

The afternoon was spent in a more athletic mode as the Seneca Soccer League began in earnest, including passing, shooting, conditioning with Rob West, and a rather interesting staff game (I'll just say we were much more enthusiastic than anything else).

Finally our evening program allowed the two villages to find a planet to replace Pluto. And now as I sit in my bed, tired, sore, and more than a little dirty, I couldn't be happier that my girls have arrived and we're finally together!
