Hi Everyone!
My name is Sydney Ryan and I am an O-5 activity counselor. The past week with these girls has been beyond amazing. Every single the girl in O-5 is being an amazing leaders for the younger girls in the village.
Last night was a big night for the two oldest onondaga bunks. We combined for the night so they could spend bunk night together. It was a great success and allowed the girls time to meet new people or hang out with some of the girls they had already known.
For the first part of our bunk night we went to the hill behind the pool for a huge slip and slide which all of the girls got a kick out of. We were joined by youngest Cayugans as well. They all enjoyed playing human bowling as they tried to knock down the stacked boxes at the bottom of the slide. The smiles and giggles were contagious as they all worked together to try to climb up the slip and slide.
After the slip in slide we went for a pool party! The girls had time to enjoy the warm water as well as explore the popular snorkle gear. The girls were more than excited to have a little extra pool time to swim around and play games together.
They changed into there pajamas to warm up after there swim for one of the last events of the night. We shuffled all of our 0-5 ans O-6 ers to the staff lounge for a movie night! We watched the Amanda show, a popular 90's show. They got a kick out of the humor and were dying to see it again.
From here the girls were ready to go back to the village but instead we took O-5 to the dining hall for there well earned ice cream party. These girls won cleanest cabin of the week and the victory was sweet as they covered there ice cream in chocolate and Carmel.
After such a fun filled day the girls came back to the cabin and were out like lights. I can not wait to see what the next couple of days brings for these outstanding girls.
