Mitzvot Description

Below are descriptions of today's projects


The endless COW: Citizens of the world is an organization in which they discuss ways to empower young adults to come up with ideas for fixing problems in the world. Today, they have focused on ways to manage e-waste.

Project elevation: This project is aimed at building tree seats so that campers will have fun places to hang out during general swim. It will create a new and more exciting environment for the camp.

Village flowerization: Today campers and staff came together to plant flowers in all five villages at camp. Each village was treated to flowers thought to appropriately represent each unit.

Garlic mustard squad: This squad spent the day plucking weeds to preserve wildlife around camp. This will ensure long term health of the plants and grasses.

Amy Massa infirmary regime: To beautify the new infirmary, this group surrounded the building with flowers. By doing this, the hope is when kids feel sick, the pretty sight will act as a natural remedy.

Ultimate distribution operation: The UDO distributed wood chips to various places such as the flag pole, villages, and trails.

Trail maintenance armada: this group cleaned up the various trails, providing safer passage around camp.

M field becomes the Mohawk field: changing the four bases and rusty backstop into a true softball field. Leveling the infield and creating a quality outfield for future use in MNL, MAL, and other camp activities.

Chagallinization illumination: the painting of a Jewish mural that campers will see daily and can interpret its meaning based on their own values

The project to sit better and more often: To give people more opportunities to relax in more places on high quality benches.

The Stecklein eternalization: painting murals on the athletic shed, to bring beauty to the once bare walls

Totem pole facelift: to increase the aesthetics of the totem pole by straightening it, and emphasizing the colors and faces with a new paint job.

Eyal Rozenberg resurgence: to bring a home-like feature to camp, the garden, by cleaning it and creating biodiversity.

Robinson pool restoration: to clean and paint the pool area to beautify a popular gathering point at camp.

Tusc beach becomes Tuscarora beach: cleaning of the tusc beach area, including a new fire pit and sign, to bring an identity to a new place to hang out.

Seneca lake identity crisis: the creation of a sign for identification of camp to the public from Seneca lake.

Boat house reramp: The repainting of the ramp into the boathouse to welcome all at the waterfront.

Land-sea board becomes Sea-land board: A new larger board for buddy tags to decrease the clutter fit easier access and use by all.

The West fire circle struggle: To beautify the fire circle by reprinting and finishing the benches, cleaning out trash to bring dignity and love to the keystone location of camp.

Lederman Mampong babies habitat: making of bracelets to send to children in Ghana with personal notes to provide hope and joy to the less fortunate.

Getnick o-rec experiment: Fixing of the O-rec benches to create safer and sturdier seating for all of camp.

Don't waste and bracelet project: the making of bracelets and holiday gifts for donors out of recycled materials.

Slater vision: The documentation of all Tikkun Olam day. In the end, it will come together as a documentary.

The attempt to relate to the public: This group throughout the day collected quotes, sound bytes, and pictures to post with csl's social media platforms.
