An Interview from the Porch

Rhonda Korn is an Assistant Director at CSL.  Below is a brief interview on her feelings towards Tikkun Olam Day

How do you think this will affect the camp in the future, as a whole, etc.?

You know, beautifying the camp and making these sustaining projects is such a great thing.

How does it make you feel when you see all the people working together?

I think it's great.  Kids of all age groups working with people of all ages. I think its great, there is nothing bad about Tikkun Olam Day.

As a camp parent, what do you hope your kids get out of Tikkun Olam Day?

It creates the sense that there is something out there bigger than them. Camp is for them, but also everyone else. They are doing things for people for now, and for the future. The kids are learning a lot today.

How do you think it affects the kids outside of camp, if at all? Do they bring anything back with them?

I hope so.  I hope they bring the sense of wanting to volunteer, and wanting to do things for other people, not just themselves.
