Dan: This is my 8th summer. This is my first summer as a staff member. I am an activity counselor who works in Mohawk and at the Waterfront.

What do you do when you’re not at camp?
Dan: I am a sophomore Pre-Med student at Williams College in Western Massachusetts.
What’s it like being an activity counselor?
Dan: It’s a very god mix of activities because it gives me plenty of time to bond with my campers but I get to work at the waterfront all day. I love that because I get to meet all the campers and staff who are not in Mohawk. What’s it like being an activity counselor?
What is your favorite part about being a staff member?
Dan: Being a staff member allows me to interact with not only my campers but all the campers here. I also love being able to be involved in all the activities at camp.
So, your sister also goes to camp, what is it like having her here?
Dan: It’s really nice because she and I are very close at home so it’s fun to share with her camp memories. Even during the year, we like to talk about camp.
Working at the Waterfront is something new for you, what activity do you look forward to when you wake up in the morning?
Dan: Sailing the Hobie Get-A-Way. It feels really good to know that you are able to go really fast on the lake and you are not using any gas or resources that can harm the environment.
Any other thoughts, Dan?
Dan: I loved being at camp as a camper, I am trying to put in my up most effort to make my campers summer as great as my own.
