Oneida - things and stuff (Julia Cohen LIT camper)

Today Oneida had the amazing opportunity to work with adults with developmental disorders at our neighboring camp , Camp Whitman. They have a week long program for these adults that runs each year and this year Oneida was asked to plan programs for this group and hang out with them. We arrived around 9:30 in Camp Whitman and started setting up for activities . Soon enough Oneida met the group, called Pine campers, and introduced themselves along with an explanation of their favorite ice cream flavor. Finally it was time for the Camp Whitman campers to choose activities . There were 6 different programs in 30-45 minute time blocks, which ranged from kickball to bracelet making. Oneida ate lunch and dinner in the Camp Whitman dining hall , alongside the other campers . Finally the day concluded with a talent show that showcased talents from both Oneida and the Pine campers. All in all it was a fantastic day , filled with new experiences . Oneida cannot wait to go back to Whitman and spend the next two days with the Pine campers!
